About the Team
DAMM started in 2021, when brothers Pablo Baiocchi and Bautista Baiocchi Lora set up a Uniswap v3 quant shop. They needed to protect dollars from their family's agricultural business in Argentina against inflation, so they built liquidity strategies and ran them with their own money.
The models that worked became our tokenized funds. The infrastructure built to run them safely became DeFi as a Service. In 2025, Juan Samitier joined as co-founder and CIO. He brought asset-management and financial-engineering experience and led the shift from a quant shop to a global asset management firm: same engine, two verticals.
Founding team
Pablo Baiocchi · Co-founder, Chief Quant Officer
Pablo co-founded DAMM with his brother Bauti. He holds a double degree in computer engineering and finance. He turns abstract mathematics into deployable liquidity strategies, and designs the simulators, back-testing engines and statistical models that steer every trade.
He leads DAMM's quant team and draws on prior TradFi experience to bring institutional rigor to DeFi.
Bautista Baiocchi Lora (bauti.eth) · Co-founder, CTO
Bauti co-founded DAMM in 2021 with his brother Pablo and leads engineering: the smart contracts, execution infrastructure and data pipelines that every fund and integration runs on.
He is a crypto-native full-stack engineer with deep roots in offensive security and smart-contract development. He has been writing software since he was 13, from full-stack web apps to jailbreaks and automated bot farms. At DAMM he designs the system architecture, leads the engineering team and runs day-to-day operations. He also keeps DAMM safe in the "dark forest" of DeFi by hardening every layer of the stack against onchain threats. As the saying goes, judge a dev by his GitHub.
Juan Samitier · Co-founder, CIO (since 2025)
Juan joined DAMM in 2025 to grow it from a quant shop into a global, DeFi-native asset management firm.
Before DAMM he was the long-time treasury manager at Kleros. There he oversaw more than 30 million USD in ETH- and USD-denominated assets, ran its market-neutral funds, and explained the game theory behind Kleros courts around the world.
He founded SAFU, a restaking-based insurance framework, designing and pitching its first product before leaving to join DAMM. He also co-founded Fantasy Tier, composable infrastructure for onchain fantasy gaming that still runs amateur tournaments today.
The quant team
The founders are backed by a lean quant team, including an engineer who left high-tech robotics to build with us. The team designs and back-tests the models behind the funds' capital allocation and market-making strategies.
